Rome is burning but I got your teddy

A dad I know has recently found himself with 4 kids under the age of 5. He and his wife have full time jobs so things are a tad “hectic” at the moment.

Last week I was dropping my kiddo off at school for a much HYPED Spring Day where they have to wear a DIY Spring Hat and take a teddy or cuddly toy. While in the classroom, I was eavesdropping on an intense engagement between this dad and his two daughters. Turns out they both had their Spring Hats, but, in a cruel twist of fate, he had forgotten to pack their favourite teddies! His mind was frazzled with everything else going on but was knelt on the floor at their level, dutifully and sincerely receiving orders as to which teddy he needs to go back home and fetch.

When Rome is burning sometimes a Teddy Bear should still be the most important thing in your life.
